At Climate Action, we believe that sport has the power to inspire and unite people for a better future. When combined with sustainability, this power becomes a catalyst for meaningful change—not only socially but also environmentally.
This spring, we partnered with the Hungarian University of Physical Education and Sport Sciences (TF), one of the region’s leading sports science institutions, to embark on a special sustainability project. Together with the university’s dedicated volunteers, we planted 100 native saplings in Kápolnásnyék.
Our Climate Action experts conducted an environmental assessment of the initiative, and the results are promising: over the next 50 years, these trees are expected to absorb approximately 50 tons of CO2. This tangible environmental benefit highlights the critical role of nature-based solutions in addressing climate challenges.
This initiative is a perfect example of how collaboration can drive sustainability forward. It shows that when communities come together, the impact can extend far beyond the immediate goals—creating a ripple effect that inspires others to take action.
The partnership with TF demonstrates not only the importance of integrating sustainability into sports but also the potential to make a lasting positive impact on the environment.
We are incredibly proud of this shared achievement and hope it serves as a guiding example for similar projects in Hungary and beyond. By combining the passion and influence of sport with sustainability efforts, we can create a better future for both people and the planet.
A heartfelt thank you to the volunteers from the Hungarian University of Physical Education and Sport Sciences and everyone who contributed to this success. Together, we’ve taken another step toward a greener, more sustainable future.
Let’s continue to work together, planting seeds of change—both literally and figuratively—for generations to come.
